Thom as, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jones, Mr. and Mrs. John Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Wade Rowland. These are the ones we’ve seen. We’re sure that there are many more. SOCIETY Clubs - Parties - Meetings •dUMiimiititimimiimiiii' uttiniiiiiiiimiiitiiiimttHit CHRISTMAS PARTIES AT YA HOSPITAL On Friday, December 17, at 10:00 a. m., a Christmas party was held in the Recreation Hall at the Veteran’s hospital at Swan nanoa. Santa Claus (really M. R. Brownlee, Chief of Special Ser vices at the hospital) distributed gifts to all the ambulatory- pa tients. The gifts were given by the employees of the Southern Bell Telephone Company of North and South Carolina through the Red Cross. Christmas carols followed the distribution of gifts. The Black Mountain-Swannanoa Chap ter of The American Red Cross served coffee and doughnuts at the party, with volunteers from the Chapter assisting with the serving and social hour which fol lowed. A similar party wa# held for colored patients, for which the Chapter also provided refresh ments.
